This is something my friend Brad Lewis and I have been enjoying. Hopefully you'll enjoying reading them as much as we enjoyed, uh, doing them.

Spam of the day

My favorite spam e-mail subject line of the day:

"No Photos Taken Up Britney Spears' Skirt This Week"

Sigh... it's gonna be a long week.

Today in Hair News

Today I load up the front page of The Austin American-Statesman site and see this headline:

"Katie Holmes chops bob down to a pixie"

Unless this story is about her cutting off the penis of someone named Robert, this is not news.

I may still throw silly stuff over here, but as you may have noticed, I update this thing less and less these days...

It's the irony of God that this has not been seen before. Who can argue with these diagrams?

The... what?

People getting punched in the face

Action Figure slow motion video from Stig Nordas on Vimeo.

And now an older, somewhat less artistic take on the same idea, courtesy of the SNL Digital Short guys, titled "People Getting Punched in the Face Right Before Eating":

Eyeballs

A few days ago, I was stabbed in the eyeball by a tiny twig... it didn't hurt me, though it was startling, and I had to carefully pull it out.

I was telling Laura about it and I decided to embellish the story just a little bit: I said that after that, the eye was okay, except that I could now see ghosts through it. Ghosts!

Then I started really liking that idea... I thought it would make for a great movie screenplay.

But today I discovered this Japanese movie and its American remake The Eye.

Synopsis of the Japanese film: "A blind girl gets a cornea transplant so that she would be able to see again. However, she got more than what she bargained for when she realised she could even see ghosts. And some of these ghosts are down right unfriendly. So she embarks on a journey to find the origins of her cornea and to reveal the history of the previous dead owner."

That sounds freaking awesome. I'm a genius.

My question is: I'm thinking of suing them all. Do you think I have a case?

Man I always wondered what would happen if you put a cell phone in the microwave. I didn't think it would be this cool though!

Drunk History!

If you haven't seen Drunk History yet, you haven't lived! Three episodes featuring drunk men describing historical events, which are then given painstakingly faithful "dramatic re-enactments". With appearances by Jack Black and Michael Cera.
